G20 'TAX'
The imposition of the G20 on the City of Toronto impacted residents and cost businesses in ways that were foreseen and should have been mitigated. Yet, Prime Minister Stephen Harper insisted on hosting the G20 in Canada’s busiest commercial centre and largest city.

What can you do ?
The failure of the Harper government to take responsibility for the actual cost of hosting the G20 Summit amounts to nothing more than an illegal, unjustified and unfair 'tax' on the businesses and residents of the City of Toronto. Your support is required to make Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the government accountable.
This project is intended to measure the true cost of the G20 Summit, and lobby the federal government not only to compensate all businesses impacted by the G20 Summit, but also to simplify the application for compensation and extend the deadline past the current due date of September 25, 2010. Changes to the current process would make the application process accessible to all businesses, large and small. For more information please click here.
This web site is a to lobby for change to the current Ex Gratia compensation scheme. It is not an official filing of any claim against any level of government.
